Where It All Began
In the early 1990s, accessing medical care was not always simple. Patients often waited days for appointments and then had to travel between different locations for blood tests, X-rays, investigations and treatments.
These delays created unnecessary inconvenience, additional costs and frustration.
We believed there had to be a better way.
One Vision.
One Medical Centre.
Our vision was to establish a multidisciplinary medical centre where patients could access more of their healthcare needs in one convenient location.
In 2000, @health moved into the Old Farmhouse at 258B Jean Avenue. What began as a vision for more accessible healthcare steadily developed into a connected medical environment, bringing together General Practitioners and associated healthcare professionals.
Ampath Laboratories, physiotherapists and psychologists joined the centre, followed by additional doctors with different areas of medical expertise.
Growing to Meet Our Community’s Needs
In 2008, the current medical centre building was completed. The expanded facility accommodated a broader range of services, including General Practitioners, dentists, diabetes specialists, dieticians, the Eye Institute and Ampath Laboratories.
Over the years, @health has continued to grow and evolve. We have expanded our General Practitioner team and introduced additional services, including optometry, biokinetics, radiology, X-ray and ultrasound services.
Our dedicated Iron Clinic and multidisciplinary diabetes care offering further reflect our commitment to comprehensive healthcare.
